Cheltenham Township Police Blotter

In recent weeks, the Cheltenham Township Police Department has responded to several reported incidents of fraud, theft, and retail theft.

One incident that occurred between February 24 and March 2 involved a victim who was contacted by a computer/software company. The victim initially did not report a previous theft of $10,000, but during this period, an additional $15,000 was taken. Police are investigating the fraudulent activity.

In another case, it was reported that $25,000 was stolen from a residence over the last year in two separate incidents. The victims had previously made reports to the police department.

A retail theft incident occurred at CVS on Old York Road, where a male stole $625 worth of goods. The victim had a Protection From Abuse (PFA) order against the perpetrator.

Additionally, there was an assault reported on February 24 in the 1000 block of Wellington Road in Elkins Park. The incident followed a domestic dispute that began at 10:06 p.m.

Police have charged one individual with assault related to this incident.

The Cheltenham Township Police Department is urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to prevent further incidents.
